The Core Idea
At its simplest, Vateris converts CO₂ from industrial emissions into high-performance mineral products.
But what makes this different is how we do it.
Our process works directly with raw flue gas CO₂ — removing the need for expensive purification or complex upstream capture systems.
That means:
Lower cost
Simpler integration
Faster deployment at industrial sites
Step 1: Capturing CO₂ as a Resource
We start with CO₂ from industrial sources — such as cement, energy, or waste-to-energy plants.
Instead of treating this CO₂ as waste, we capture and convert it in-process, turning emissions into an input stream for material production.
Step 2: Engineering Vaterite (GypCarb™)
The captured CO₂ reacts with calcium-based feedstocks (such as gypsum) to produce vaterite, a highly reactive form of calcium carbonate.
We engineer this into GypCarb™ — a next-generation mineral additive designed for concrete.
Why vaterite matters:
Higher reactivity than conventional calcium carbonate
Enhances cement hydration
Enables reduction in cement content while maintaining or improving strength
This is where carbon becomes performance-enhancing, not just stored.
Step 3: Integrating into Concrete Production
GypCarb is designed as a drop-in material.
It works within existing concrete manufacturing processes:
No new curing systems
No changes to plant infrastructure
Compatible with ready-mix and precast
This is critical for adoption — because the construction industry doesn’t need disruption for the sake of it.
It needs solutions that work within today’s reality.
Step 4: Co-Producing High-Purity Fertiliser
At the same time, our process produces potassium sulfate (SOP) — a premium fertiliser used in agriculture.
This co-product is:
High purity
Low chloride
Suitable for high-value crops
This creates a dual-value system, where carbon utilisation drives value in both construction and agrichemicals sectors.
Why This Matters
The world needs to decarbonise heavy industry.
But it also needs materials:
Concrete for infrastructure and housing
Fertilisers for food production
Vateris connects these needs.
By turning CO₂ into essential materials, we:
Reduce reliance on carbon-intensive inputs
Lower the footprint of core industries
Create a scalable pathway for carbon utilisation
Designed for Industrial Scale
Our technology is built with scale at its core:
Uses abundant feedstocks
Integrates with existing infrastructure
Produces materials already demanded by global markets
This is not a future concept.
It’s a system designed for deployment at industrial scale.
From CO₂ to Value
Carbon doesn’t have to be a cost.
It can be a competitive advantage.
At Vateris, we are building the platform to make that a reality — transforming emissions into high-performance materials that industries already rely on.
Performance materials. From CO₂. At scale.
